Feb and March been full of surprises and shocking reactions from listeners out there.

PENANG.

I was in Penang for a 3 day holiday two weeks back with DJ Mastermind and couple of other friends and yo, when you touch down the G-Town- Holla at Psycho Unit. Them boys really know how to kick it and have fun. Good food, good people and good drive up and down :) Thanks for the hospitality and to all the fans i met out there, thanks for hollering at your macha. The show was awesome even tough i was not supposed to be part of the line up. What a surprise it was for the folks out there and the charity part, psycho unit really know how to gets it done. Everybody out there who wanna do charity, learn for this folks. They nailed it pretty well.

ISHQ BECTOR LIVE IN KL, MIST CLUB.

Since i started performing, this opening slot would be my biggest show. That dude ISHQ has done songs with some of the biggest name in Bollywood so it was quite an experience meeting him and opening the show for he and his crew. The sound check went as planned and all the artiste including ISHQ was there on time to make it happen. Everyone gathered back at 10pm and by 11.30, Mist club has packed in 600 people atleast. And guess what, Balan Kashmir and Shab'd Clique was the first rap act to start performing :)

The place was filled with our punjabi masses so i didn't know performing MARIA would be a great idea but it worked. They enjoyed the show and my dhol players, DHOL Federation from Ipoh was sick with the drums. Thank you fellas and we could perform live some other time too. Keeran-D and Dareyno went up after us and put on a killer show. Hats off.

I couldn't catch the full show of ISHQ cause we had to leave early cause had to meet some important friends back in klang. Overall, DJ Mastermind, Shab'd Clique and me had an experience of a lifetime and will remember it :) Shout out to RA Global and Sukhi Klang for inviting us for this show.

Our Malaysian tamil rappers have been hitting India for like 3 years now and doing songs for movies. First was DR. Burn. Then Yogi B, Emcee Jesz and Boomerang X.

Recently, our very own Bullet Benjamin and PsychoMantra did a song with a Sri Lankan rapper, Iraj. Its not for a movie but for Iraj's upcoming album i suppose.

Whats good. I know i havent gotten the time to blog for a while now.

To be honest since Thaipusam was over, I've been doing shows and getting more calls for more shows. R Records artiste night at Laundry Bar was fun and challenging. Big shout out to that kid KRAFT for joining me on stage and rocking an Indian number. He actually wrote a verse on top of Maria's instrumental and performed it before i hit the stage with DJ Mastermind and Alex Subryn.

Valentine Eve function was great too. Met loads of VIP's from the Indian community and to my surprise they actually dig rap music and enjoyed a good 2 minute freestyling session. Haha, watch out yall.. MIC might have a rap anthem soon to win over the youth's of the nation. My date went well, felt like a high school kid getting ready for the event. What's good H. Thanks for making the date fun :) I wont be late anymore.

Ishq Bector show is in 2 weeks time and it's my biggest show since i started performing solo. Ishq is a world class entertainer and done songs for people in the Bollywood industry and rapped alongside Abishek Bachan and Malikat Sherawat. Dude even freestyled with John Cena when he made a trip down to India. The advert for the showcase should be up by this week and dont worry, I will not forget to upload it.

Its been a great year. No joke cause i always wished i did more when i reach this part of every year but 2009, it's a great run. Felt like jogging on my victory lap.

But i got miles to go before the finish line.

The beginning of 2009 was absolutely cloudy cause i really didn't know what was in store. I just stopped working and felt like i was better off working for myself and for people who believed in me. Recorded 'Maria', 'Alone' and 'Take Your Time' under D'navigator guidance which helped me see beyond my potential. Elvira's Simple Love and Kementerian Belia's Satu Suara was a bonus, i would say. I could finally stand on my own and feel comfortable about it. I answered to myself and nobody else had the balls to boss me around. Respect was found and Macha magic was discovered.

But i got miles to go before the finish line.

New friends, new partners, new clubs, new structure of business and etc. Everything felt new cause the outlook was clearer compared to the early cloudy 09. By the middle of the year, many blueprint was designed for success and patience was one of the key element. Without it, you're just meant to fail. Timing for Maria CD release came unprepared but the outcome was as expected. The track brought the home more loyal supporters and thankful hiphop heads. Haters were there but they didnt know the fam was aware :)

But we still had miles to go before the finish line.

It's almost the end of the beautiful year and loads of unforgettable memories for the diary. Gotta thank each and everyone who made a difference and helped me believe, SKY'S THE LIMIT.

I'll see yall next year. HAPPY 2010 and have a great one. Blessings from me and the whole family.

It's been almost a month since MARIA cd was released. The first 1000 was done in less than a week and we're gonna print another 1000 :) I would like to thank everybody who got a copy and purchased more than just one to help spread the song. Words cant explain how much you guys and girls mean to me. The song wouldnt have been a success if it wasnt for yall. Yeah, you.

The song's getting fair airplay in THR Raaga, thank you goes out to Mr. Ramesh and Ms. Sumathi for making it happen. It feels great knowing people enjoy the song and bump it loud in their cars and laptop and ipods and such. And all the people who been calling and voting for the song, mad love goes out to you.

I LOVE Macha Magic tees are almost done too. Gotta reprint it in different colour schemes. Any suggestions? Holla at your boy. I really dont know whether i should keep the same colours or flip them up in pink and red :

The shows been great. The launch was planned in two days but having 300 people turning up on a wednesday night is awesome. Bomb shelter was like walking down memory lane. Seeing so many friends and looks like we'll have walked a long road. Big shoutout to Rogue Squadron and EGOtv. Good seeing you folks.

Life's like that right? Never know what tomorrow got in store for you and me. This past few months been strange but feels like i been here before. The same jinx moments, usual suspects and drama unfolding the same way Tamil soap opera on Astro Vaanavil does. Couldn't and wouldn't complain cause that would make me unproductive.

Its been 3 months and i got another 10 days before commitment hits me the hard way. Dont worry, its not marriage or a bad break up. Its something i should have carried a long time ago- Responsibility. My family and friends are my pillar of strength and vitamins but this time, its me against the world. David VS Goalith in some ways. Its me facing my own deepest fears. And again, couldn't and wouldn't complain cause that would make me unproductive.

whats good everybody.

The weekend was madness. First, the trip to Penang with the boys for emceeing at Moist with DJ Funzoo... I hate highway construction, cause we killed one hour of our time nearby Ipoh. Imagine, the drive which could have been less than 10 minutes took one hour. I only realized the distance we had to tag along in the jam when we were returning back. Samy vellu, tell your men to handle business afterhours please? But we reached on time and rocked the party. Ask your peoples, we did kill the show.

Ray and Kash hospitality is worth millions. Thanks for the place, nasi kandar drives and the mad party.. haha. See yall soon, brothers.

The Saturday Helo Bali Launch was awesome. Will update yall with the pics soon. The crowd was awesome and I felt real good seeing my man Hari coming back to KL after years. The grills was a good present but i couldnt wear it while emceeing. The shiet's heavy and HUGE as a mother. Too much of champagne got the brother looking sideways by end of the night, actually. DJ Monkey and Brandon played mad heat that night. The electro set, i couldnt say anything cause i was busy talking to somebody HAHA. Anyways, will update the pics soon.

I recently did a video with an artiste called Elvira :) And the video is the FRESH.

Elvira is an artiste signed to R Records which is managed and ran by Reshmonu. This song was penned by Elvira herself and arranged by D'Navigator.

I was not apart of the plan. I was sleeping in the studio when they were recording the song. I went to the shugar studio because Navigator was there. And seriously after a bad day at work, you dont want anyone to disturb your sleep :) All the sudden, Elvira woke me up and told me to fill up an empty part of the song with some raps. It was important to finish the demo tonight, she says. I could have continued sleeping but Elvira and me go way back. I met her in college when i was 18 and still call her 'Akka' from time to time. I was surprised the management team liked what i did in 15 minutes, writing and recording the song half asleep. The demo turned out to be the final copy and the song was chosen to be the first single :)

The Shpice crew was more than just fun while we were recording the video. Big shoutout to Resh, Elvira, Adam, Tim, Shegar, and the rest who was apart of the shoot. Thank you for convincing me with the shirt and hat, haha. No blings and hoodies, right? Ok guys, i buy the word now.

Check it out yall and please please please, pass the word around. This is one of the best local video I've seen for a debut artiste. Not because im in it but shietttt, this video rocks. And the message is bigger than that.

Journal * 2 - Music in Me CD Launch

What a week.

Its been practice after practice, running there and here for the I LOVE Macha Magic tshirt and trying to get work done in between. It's my first show with DJ Mastermind and my second solo show of the year. The first one was pretty much a disaster i would say. The crowd stood still and i was leaking out energy which they were not ready for. But what the heck.

But this second show was different. The line up for Sasi The Don 'Music in Me' CD Launch was crazy:-

Rabbit Mac ( Kuku Bee )* Psycho Unit, biler mau pegi kolam?
Diwan ( Arambam )* Chellllummmmm, great minds think alike, stylooo.
DR. Sakthi ( Soul-Jah ) * Appu, you killed it my man :)
Kraft ( Diamonds ) * Keep grindin, fam.
DR. Burn, Pluck, Tactmatic ( Tekke-Tekke ) * Pluck, cheeeeerssssss.
Syze ( Coo Coo ) * Brick city stand up.

How can someone go wrong with such a line up? And Sasi The Don performed strings of his old and new hits such as Anbe, Yardy Girl, Hold Up and not forgetting his new hit single with DR. Alban- MUSIC IN ME.

Soundcheck was such a drag. Waited for hours actually but in the end was worth it. Rushed to a friend's place in Kepong from MIST and had to return by 10pm which was impossible but managed to do it :) When you have great people on the wheel, traffic jam is like playing daytona. Then dragged my cousin to sunway to pick up kicks from a good friend and fly back to MIST by 10.30pm :) Once again, my boys really treat the road like daytona. The club was already packed and it was showtime at 11pm. Prem and Double D were emceeing the night and all the acts went on stage and put on an excellent show, ask anybody including the waiters and bouncers :)

I performed 'Maria' for the first time since the final arrangement was confirmed. The feedback was positive and folks from the radio station seem to like it so look out for hearing the track on local stations :) DJ Mastermind set was nothing but solid like iron. Working on the remixes and planning to release it by Deepavali so holla holla at your macha.

The club was packed with Indian folks but dont worry, there were no fight reposted that night. Everything was all love. Mad hunnies were present if you ask me so i was busy moving around and getting rounded by old friends with drinks and numbers. Big shoutout to The Commission, Big Bob, Sashi Subang, G. Lazarus and Fam, Rotaract Klang, My ladies and playboys who came out to support your boy.

It was great having yall there and couldnt have been better :) We'll jam better next time.

they say being a macha is a tough job, i couldnt agree less.

macha- brother in law in tamil but commonly used as brother, friend, crew, buddy, mate or whatever. the point here is, the word macha has been wrongly used for the best reasons.

This blog is for me to stay connected to my thoughts which i've been ignoring to publish for a while now. I used to write alot to publish but then staying up with blogging could also run down your sleeping cycle. Sometime, i would say something here and it would be misunderstood by screw-faces and low-lifes... and the drama unfolds.

But after years of finding myself, i finally understood i have to let go and learn to receive new chapters of my life so i could touch the skies. I'm stubborn like a stain if you really dont know me but 2009 been an aftermath if you ask me. Changes are there if you want them and some suckers will never allow you to change because they fear the elevation but im like... thank you and you're welcome bro.

Let's just say, 2009 is different and i just woke up from a coma.

But its good to be back. And the timing couldn't be better.

Come through to read about your favourite Indian macha and whatever that his thoughts has to deliver about the atmosphere and everything under it :) good or bad.

There's two sides to a story but macha magic is mixed well enough for your delighted tasting sessions.
